The Beginning of an Era

Consider me back on the proverbial horse. Yesterday Jack and I made the first of what I hope to be many mommy-baby trips to Lowe’s.

We visited, drumroll please…the paint department! Very exciting. But just as I was trying to explain to him about various finishes he started getting a little cranky so I grabbed a gallon of semi-gloss and got out of there. Hopefully this isn’t a sign that he’ll hate the home improvement store as much as his dear old dad does. I can’t wait to get started on my first postpartum project! Want a little hint as to what it is?

Coastal Living
I’ll be puttering away one nap at a time, and I’m giving myself permission to take as long as I need to get it done. It feels so good to be working on a project again and I don’t want to stress myself out with self-imposed deadlines, especially since homeboy has recently decided he doesn’t really need to take naps. Naps are for babies, he says.

    Take naps when Jack takes naps. Working will ware on you. Lillie’s Nap time is now our nap time. LOL. We need it as recovery time.

      Solid advice, Brian, but unfortunately I think he got his distaste for daytime sleep from me! The only time I ever really napped is when I was pregnant, and even then I struggled with it!

    Good to be working on the laundry room, those lil babies tend to make lots of laundry, even more as they get bigger! LOL!
