Happy Friday, party people! Are you ready for the weekend? I have been totally spoiled having Nick home so much over the holidays. I don’t know what I’m going to do next week when he’s back to working a full five days in a row for the first time since before Christmas. Guess I’ll have to change all the diapers by myself or something.
In case you missed it, after nearly two years of blogging I recently took the plunge into the world of blog advertising. This little ‘ol blog no longer runs for free anymore-there are hosting and domain fees to be paid annually, not to mention the one-time costs of custom graphics and a premium theme (all meaningless terms to those of you who are not into blogging, I’m sure). It all adds up. So by accepting sponsors, I’m hoping to balance out some of those expenses and maybe, someday, earn a bit of pocket cash. But I’m not counting on laughing my way to the bank anytime soon.
My first ever sponsor is the illustrious Brandi. She’s a frequent commenter here on the blog, a friend of mine from college, and the owner of an adorable Etsy shop called A Brandi Sized Shop. She’s also got a really fun little blog. Here are some of my favorite things she’s got up for sale at the moment.
Greek Bud Vase
This little bud vase is so pretty. I love the size of it and the greek detailing. Nick is actually 1/4 Greek (hence the very Greek last name Tryforos) and this would be a fun little shout-out to his heritage.
Vintage St. Louis Postcard - New Poplar Street Bridge
This postcard would be fun to pop in a frame whether you have any emotional connection to St. Louis or not. I love the colors. And y’all, I am feeling like a total ditz because for some reason I always thought the Gateway Arch went over the Mississippi. My mom spent a big chunk of her childhood in a St. Louis suburb and would probably be mortified by my ignorance.
Brandi is offering a special discount for Living Well on the Cheap readers. Just enter code “ABSSOTC” at checkout for 20% one item. She has lots more stuff so definitely go check her out!
PS if you’re interested in becoming a sponsor you can get all the details on my Advertise page.
I live in St. Louis and just went to scoop up the postcard!
It’s funny how blue they depict the river because it’s completely mud brown all the time!
Awesome! Yeah I live about a mile from the Mississippi waaaay further south and it’s definitely not that picturesque.
Erin, I’ve put your card in the mail today…and yes, the Mississippi is NOT blue, but when I visited STL, it did seem a bit cleaner up there.
Thanks again for the post, Charlotte!
