It seems like more and more people are turning to handmade options for at least a portion of their holiday gifting these days. I posted recently about handmade gift ideas that don’t suck, but there are a few more I’ve yet to share. These are all things I considered making and selling in my shop this year but I don’t think I’ll get to them in time so I’m sharing the love! It was easy for me to find similar projects just by googling. There are no new ideas on the internet!

Fun ideas, right? I wish I had time to implement all of them. I’ve got my embroidered monograms, chalkboard clipboards, notecards, and a couple of things I’ll be crafting using vintage mother of pearl buttons in the coming days. Note that the notecards are the only ones I actually have listed in my shop as of this writing! I’ve got a lot of work to do between now and Thanksgiving if I want to actually make any money this year. My goal is to sell enough to fund the play kitchen that I want to get for Jack, and of course if I sell more than that it will likely all go toward gifts for friends and family. I’ve got a couple of handmade gifts on my list but some things are better if bought. Nobody wants to receive my handcrafted attempts at aftermarket parts for my dad’s motorcycle, trust me. Somehow I don’t think he’d be pleased with my attempt at an exhaust pipe or whatever else he has on his list, but I will try to buy handmade by someone else or from a small business whenever possible.
