I’ve been working recently to get some cute stuff up on the walls in our kitchen. It helps keep my momentum going while I save up time, energy, and money to tackle some of the more functional improvements. Soon after I completed the watercolor fruit, this print that I’d ordered from Etsy arrived! I popped it into a frame and hung it up in our kitchen right away (coincidentally, it lives right next to where we keep a small jar of sugar on the counter).
It’s by graphic designer Stephanie Creekmur, who is a bit of a genius when it comes to combining charming southern phrases with beautiful typography. My dad’s mother, who we called Nanny, was super Southern and said this particular phrase often (other Nanny-ism’s included “whatcha huntin?” “are ya hungry?” and “well bless your heart!”).
I love the way the color looks in here. I’ve got plans to hang another print above the clock but it’s currently out of stock so I’ll have to wait. And I’m still hunting for a big silver serving tray to hang above the stove! This is all to distract myself from the fact that I need to disassemble the disgusting range vent and figure out how to replace it.
Thanks for reading, friends! I hope you each are having a wonderful week!
