I’m really excited to share this giveaway with y’all! Sprigs Jewelry and Accessories is my newest sponsor and is generously offering to give one of you an item of your choosing from her shop. Ashley has a huge selection of cute jewelry, so you’re sure to find something that you or someone you know would like. The birthstone bracelet, for example, would make such a great gift for Mother’s Day.
And how gorgeous are these statement earrings for date night? She has a ton of dangly earrings to choose from. I think that one of my ear piercings has closed from lack of use but these earrings tempt me to coax it open again.
Ashley has over 100 items to choose from and they are all adorable. If you don’t win the giveaway (or don’t want to wait to find out), you can use code LIVINGWELL10 to get 10% off through Mother’s Day, May 11.
You’ve got a couple of options for entering the giveaway: you can like Sprigs’s facebook page, comment here on what you would pick from Sprigs’s Etsy shop, like Living Well on the Cheap’s facebook page, or do all three for three chances to win! Enter using the Rafflecopter widget below (If you’re reading in your email or reader you may need to click over to the site). The giveaway will end at midnight on April 30th, so you’ve got through the end of the month to enter. Ashley is not set up to do international shipping so this giveaway is open only to US residents.
I know it’s so cliche but I seriously cannot believe that it is March. And by that I mean that I am THRILLED because I much prefer spring and summer over fall and winter. The days are long and the air is warm, a perfect complement to some of the fresh and pretty things my four sponsors have to offer this month. If you’re still snowed in maybe a little shopping will help you warm up! Read closely to catch a special discount code for one of them.
Little Eli is the brainchild of friends Amelia and Meghan. Meghan makes jewelry, Amelia works with concrete, and together the two of them have some seriously covet-worthy creations. I hear they actually have some concrete jewelry in the works! How perfect are these purple agate earrings for spring?
Brandi and I go way back and even sometimes hit estate sales together. Our tastes are totally different so we’re never in competition with one another and we’ve even been known to text each other pictures if we see something the other might like while out hunting! It’s a beautiful partnership. And even though we’re drawn to different styles I still see things I’d love to have every time I visit her shop. I mean seriously, how adorable are these plastic tumblers? They’d be perfect for the beach! Use code ABSSOTC to get 20% off any item in Brandi’s shop!
Ivy is the creative genius behind Momentus New York. She has a huge inventory to choose from and I love that her designs are at once understated and glamorous. Like these lovely faceted gold stud earrings.
And last but CERTAINLY not least, my BFF Cassie has recently opened her own Etsy shop! She had a shop back in college and I have several of her original jewelry creations that I still love and wear regularly. She just opened up this new shop and is taking it slow since she’s got a baby and is in grad school, but she already has several pairs of earrings listed and they are adorable for spring.
Every month in addition to featuring my wonderful sponsors I like to highlight a nonprofit that I think is worthy of recognition. This month it’s Feeding America. Hunger in America exists for over 50 million people. That’s 1 in 6 of the U.S. population – including more than 20% of children. Unemployment, rather than poverty, is a strong predictor of food insecurity. If you’d like to do something about it you can donate to your local food bank or check out Feeding America’s Ways to Give page.
Thanks for reading, y’all, and have a great weekend!
Happy Friday, party people! Friday is my favorite day of the week. There’s so much anticipation for the weekend ahead. It’s time for this month’s sponsor shout out and I am so excited to announce that I actually have a new sponsor this month–Momentus New York is an etsy shop specializing in simple, chic, personalized jewelry and I’ve admired her creations for some time. Keep reading to see some featured items from her shop, but first my long-time sponsors. They have a couple of coupon codes available this month!
Little Eli is the love child if Amelia and Meghan, two friends right here in Baton Rouge who love to craft. Amelia makes fun and useful creations out of concrete and Meghan crafts beautiful statement jewelry. Its Amelia’s 25th Birthday so they’re having a sale! Use code “HappyBirthday25″ to get 25% off $25 or more. The sale ends today so don’t dillydaddle!
Brandi is another seller located in Baton Rouge. I have known her almost a decade and she regularly offers to babysit for free so Nick and I can enjoy a date night. Her shop is a mix of vintage and handmade items, including this book that I was too prudish to post a picture of but I think would be a fun addition to your vintage book collection. She’s also recently started offering a few prints for instant download that you can print at home. They’re really inexpensive so if you need some art for your walls you can see them all here. She’s offering a special discount for y’all: use the coupon code ABSSOTC for 20% off your order.
I have been admiring the creations of Momentus New York ever since I spotted a friend wearing one of her necklaces last year. Her jewelry is delicate, classic, and beautiful. Many of it incorporates personalized elements like initials or names. I’d be thrilled to wear anything from her shop.
Happy Monday, my friends! I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I am almost done with my Christmas shopping and have even begun wrapping a few gifts, but if you’ve still got hard-to-shop-for friends and family on your list take a gander at what my two blog sponsors have to offer. Both of them have fast turnaround and shipping so you’ve still got time to order something and have it arrive by Christmas. If you’re local to Baton Rouge you may even be able to arrange local pickup!
And of course I’ve got an etsy shop of my own–Living La Vida Vintage–where you can find lots of goodies to strike your fancy. Before I sign off today I’d like to feature a deserving nonprofit–I’ve been doing this for the past few months and it makes my little social worker heart sing.
Iris Domestic Violence Center (formerly operating as Capital Area Family Violence Intervention Center/Battered Women’s Program) has provided professional, compassionate, and empowering support to survivors of family violence and their children in the Capital Area for more than 30 years. A few years ago I had the privilege of befriending someone who had worked for the Battered Women’s Program and still felt passionately about the cause. Her name was Mollie, and she died suddenly at the age of only 29. I keep the cause of domestic violence dear in my heart because of her and can think of no better way to honor her memory than to spread awareness about the epidemic of family violence that she worked so tirelessly to combat. If you need assistance, please do not hesitate to call their 24 hour crisis line at (225) 389-3001 or 1 (800) 541-9706.
