2013 has been good to us. I’ll be taking tomorrow off to spend some time with my guys, but I’ll be back Thursday to share my plans and goals for the new year–I’ve got some good ones!

Happy Friday, party people! We’re celebrating here at Casa Tryforos because Nick is off work today and all next week. Which means a lot more TV watching and a lot less diaper changing on my part. Here’s hoping I don’t devolve into total laziness with him around. But in order to kick off a lazy weekend followed by a week that’s cut short by Thanksgiving here in the US let’s spend some time getting lost in the internet, shall we? Here are some links that caught my eye recently:

A Lion and Tiger and Bear; Oh My! (and a video!). We are so going to visit them next time we’re in the Atlanta area.

10 Simple Strategies for a Clean and Organized Home. Sound advice that I could have written myself.

There are Better Things to be than Rich. In that case, it’s a good thing I’m a stay at home mom slash social worker.

The Forgotten Giant Arrows that Guide you Across America. The coolest thing I’ve heard in a while.

When Pregnancy is Painful: How to Deal. This is a pretty personal post that I wrote for Red Stick Moms Blog.

5 Veggies With An Undeserving Bad Rap. I am much more into nutrition now that I’m in charge of a tiny human. I told myself last night that I was going to relax and read a book while Nick watched the Saints game but I actually spent the whole time googling toddler nutrition.

Salmon Rissoles. Speaking of nutrition, I can’t wait to try making these! Canned salmon for the win.

I hope you each have a wonderful weekend! Smooches!

happy weekend

Have a happy weekend, everybody! I’m hoping to spend most of it cuddling precious babies, soaking up the stories of the old, and sneaking out for a dinner alone with my main man. Maybe I’ll even have time to fit in a DIY project or two! I miss my paintbrush and glue gun so desperately, but I just haven’t felt motivated lately. My mind has been preoccupied with thoughts of family and friends, which I guess is a good thing. I do have a project or two in mind that maybe I’ll get to before too long, but in the meantime I hope you all have a fabulous weekend full of joy and splendor! Thanks  for reading!
